Meriwest Credit Union Expands Service to Cambrian District with New Hillsdale Financial Center

Herbert W. Perez named manager of Meriwest's third location in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA - March 14, 2007 - Meriwest Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions serving Silicon Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area and Tucson, Arizona, today announced the opening of the Hillsdale Financial Center in the heart of San Jose?s Cambrian district. The Credit Union also announced that Herbert W. Perez has been appointed manager of the Hillsdale Financial Center.
Located on the corner of Hillsdale and Ross Avenues, the Hillsdale Financial Center is the fifth Meriwest location serving San Jose. It was created to serve existing members in the area, as well as to welcome new members to Meriwest.

Perez has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry. From 1996-2005, he served as a manager at Patelco Credit Union, where he was responsible for overseeing the performance and goals of its branches in Foster City, San Jose, Hayward, Fremont and Milpitas. Prior to that, he held management positions with Provident Credit Union (1987-1992) and United Savings Bank (1983-1986), and served as Branch Auditor for Continental Savings and Loan. Perez earned a bachelor?s degree from Cornell University.
