Meriwest Mortgage Announces Promotion of Francois Vu-Touneh

05/01/07

Meriwest Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions serving Silicon Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area and Tucson, Arizona, today announced the promotion of Mr. Francois Vu-Touneh from Regional Sales Manager to Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing for Meriwest Mortgage. In his new role, Mr. Touneh will be responsible for managing loan consultants in the credit union's mortgage division, as well as providing support for the sales team through marketing campaigns, training and professional development.

"Francois has been an extremely valuable member of our management team since he joined Meriwest one year ago," said Jack Buckman, President of Meriwest Mortgage. "His extensive sales, banking and real estate experience, along with his high level of performance, make him most deserving of his promotion to vice president."

Mr. Touneh has 12 years of experience in financial services and real estate. Prior to joining Meriwest, he was a vice president at Bank of America's Commercial Real Estate Banking division in Palo Alto, California. Before that, he served two years as assistant vice president at U.S. Bank's Corporate Real Estate Office in San Francisco.

Mr. Touneh also held various sales and management roles at Wells Fargo Bank, Cornish & Carey Commercial, and CB Richard Ellis.

In addition to earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from San Diego State University - with a concentration in finance and real estate - Mr. Touneh is a licensed real estate broker for the state of California. He is also a member of Urban Land Institute, a non-profit research and education organization that provides leadership in the responsible use of land, and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide.
