Meriwest Credit Union Expands Service with New San Ramon Financial Center

Meriwest Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions serving Silicon Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area and Tucson, Arizona, today announced the opening of the San Ramon Financial Center, on the north side of San Ramon. Meriwest also announced that Curtis Portwood has been appointed manager of the Credit Union's newest location.
Located inside the Magnolia Square Shopping Center, near the Bishop Ranch Business Parks, the San Ramon Financial Center represents Meriwest's 16th location. It was opened to serve existing members in the East Bay Region, complementing the Dublin Financial Center, as well as to welcome new members to the Credit Union.

Like all of Meriwest's financial centers throughout Silicon Valley and Tucson, Arizona, the San Ramon location combines state-of-the-art amenities with innovative financial services, including:
- FREE Online Banking and Bill Pay, e-Statements, and automated account information over the phone and online;
- a full-service Contact Center, 24-hour loan decisions and deposit servicing;
- a nationwide shared-branch network through the Credit Union Service Centers, and an international system of more than 25,000 surcharge-free ATMs through the CO-OP Network; and
- ATM access to network members in approximately 5,500 7-Eleven stores throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as any Bank of the West ATM for deposits, withdrawals and transfers.
Mr. Portwood spent five years in varying roles at Bank of America and Citibank, as an operations specialist and teller staff coordinator. Prior to that, he spent a year with Meriwest as a Financial Services Representative. Mr. Portwood also served with distinction in the United States Navy from 1996 to 2000, receiving special commendations and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his work on aircraft carriers.
