Hudson Lee Named President of Meriwest Mortgage

San Jose, CA - Meriwest Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions serving Silicon Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area and Tucson, Arizona, today named Hudson Lee, President of Meriwest Mortgage Company LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meriwest Credit Union. Currently also the Credit Union's chief financial officer, Mr. Lee will be responsible for managing loan production and servicing production in the five Bay Area Counties and Arizona, where Meriwest Mortgage does business.
Mr. Lee succeeds outgoing president Jack Buckman, who is retiring after nine years of service at Meriwest Mortgage.

Mr. Lee has been a financial services professional for more than 22 years. He joined Meriwest Credit Union in January 2001 as chief financial officer. In that role, he is directly responsible for the Credit Union's finance, accounting, Information Technology and administrative departments. He has also served Meriwest as chairman of the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO), and served on the Board of Directors for Meriwest Mortgage.
Prior to joining Meriwest, Mr. Lee served as Assistant Treasurer for Transamerica Corporation in San Francisco, where he was responsible for off-balance sheet financing through asset securitizations. Prior to Transamerica, he served six years at First Nationwide Bank, as well as six years at Ernst & Young.
Mr. Lee earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985, and an MBA degree, with an emphasis in Finance, from Golden Gate University, in 1999. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
