Business Development - Internship Opportunity - San Jose, CA - Part-time   Location Chesbro Ave Financial Center, San Jose Department Business Development Description Job Purpose: Meet with Meriwest member prospects onsite at local companies. Promote Meriwest at company events such as new hire orientations and benefit fairs. Generate membership among employees at Select Employer Groups. Meet minimum requirement of 50 new members per month. Communicate any Select Employer Group concerns or needs to the Account Manager as necessary. Cross sell Meriwest products and services to members and non-members. Represent Meriwest at community events. Set up/break down of Meriwest materials at company onsites. Requirements: Excellent oral communication and presentation skills; including strong persuasion skills. High-energy with the ability to create a fun environment and generate excitement for Meriwest and its products and services. Strong sales skills. At least 1- year sales/customer service experience. High school diploma or equivalency required. Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week. Most events are scheduled 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
