Text Message Scam Alert
Be on high alert and avoid this scam!
It has come to our attention that a fraudulent text message is being sent to Meriwest members claiming to be from Meriwest Credit Union, asking them to respond to a potentially fraudulent debit card transaction. After a ‘NO’ response indicating that the transaction was not authorized, the member receives a call and the scammer collects the card number and other information. KNOW THAT MERIWEST WILL NEVER CALL YOU IMMEDIATELY AFTER A FRAUD ALERT to collect more information. Ignore the call and report this suspicious communication to us by calling 877-MERIWEST (877) 637-4937 or emailing us at email@example.com.
