Meriwest "Dream Big with Us" Student Competition
High School Students: Here's Your Chance to Win up to $1,000.
This year we are looking for youth, grades 9 through 12, ages 13 through 18, to create an essay or video that answers one or both of these questions:
- "If you were the CEO of a credit union designing services to attract Gen Z, what are the top services that would be most important to include and why?"
- "If you could build your own credit union, what would it look like? What would the experience be?"

Guidelines
- Include your first name, age, grade level and school name in the essay or video.
- Essay: Email your essay submission, Contest Entry Form, and Release Agreements to corp_communications@meriwest.com.
- Video: Upload your video to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc. Be sure the privacy settings for the video are public and tag Meriwest Credit Union.

Eligibility
To be eligible, you must be a student, grades 9 through 12, ages 13 to 18 and a Meriwest member** (new members welcome) who has a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
To enter, simply download the application, review the full Competition Rules, Entry and Release Form, and submit your essay or video in the required format by 5:00 p.m. PST on Sunday, April 30, 2023. Winners will be notified by May 12, 2023.

Eligibility: Must be a student, grades 9 through 12, ages 13 through 18, with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Limit one entry per student. Email Entry: Eligible entrants may enter via email by sending essay submission with Contest Entry Form and signed Release Agreements to corp_communications@meriwest.com. U.S. Mail Entry: Eligible entrants may enter via U.S. Mail by sending all Contest Entry Forms and signed Release Agreements to: Helen Grays-Jones, Meriwest Credit Union, 5615 Chesbro Ave., San Jose, CA 95123. Entries that do not comply with social media platforms’ Terms of Service will be disqualified. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by 04/30/23. Video Entry: All footage, including music, must be originally created material or you must obtain proper legal permission to use someone else’s copyrighted material. Entries will be void if they are incomplete, late, lost, damaged, or are not able to be viewed due to technical error. No entries will be returned. All entrants give Meriwest Credit Union permission to use the videos, including the right to use their names, photographs, and video submissions for advertising, publicity and promotion purposes, and to edit or make changes to the announcement. By entering this contest, entrants agree to abide by these contest rules and regulations. Odds of winning one of the twelve prizes are 1 in 3. Twelve winner(s) will be notified by 05/12/2023. Membership is required with a non-refundable $5 fee. Must be Meriwest Credit Union member in good standing.
**Participants also must live, attend school, or work in Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa or San Francisco counties, or in Pima County, Arizona. Students who do not reside, attend school, or work in these counties — but are existing Meriwest members or children of members — are also able to enter the competition.
