Set up Direct Deposit at Meriwest Credit Union


Save time from having to go to a financial center or an ATM by having your paycheck, Social Security check, retirement, or annuity checks automatically deposited into your checking or savings account.

Direct Deposit is also a great way to save. Simply designate a portion of your check to be deposited into a savings account, and before you know it, you've saved!

If your employer provides a Direct Deposit form, simply fill in the routing number provided below and submit it to your H.R. Department.

If a Direct Deposit form is not available from your H.R. Department, you may download our form below to set up Direct Deposit to your Meriwest account.

To ensure the correct posting of your electronic transactions from other institutions you need to make sure that you provide the correct routing and account number. We have outlined the account number requirements for both Checking and Savings Accounts below.


  • Direct Deposit for Checking

    For Checking Accounts, you will need to use:

    • Meriwest Routing Number (ABA #): 321176833
    • Your Ten Digit Account Number
    • This information is located in Online Banking. Just select the account from the Summary page and scroll all the way to the bottom where other account information is located.
    • This information is also located at the bottom of your check as depicted below:

  • Direct Deposit for Savings or for Loan Payments

    For Savings or Loan Accounts, you will need :

    • Meriwest Routing Number (ABA #): 321176833
      • Account Number by combining the following:
        • Single Digit Account Code: 1 for Savings or 2 for Loans
        • Two Digit Account Suffix
        • Ten Digit Account Number preceded by zeroes
        • For instance, if your Savings Account Number is 1234568 and your Account Suffix is 02, then you will need to use 1020001234568
        • Or if your Loan Account Number is 1234569 and your Suffix is 04, then you will need to use 2040001234569
    • This information is also located in Online Banking. Just select the account from the Summary page and scroll all the way to the bottom where other account information is located.

Shared Branching

For your convenience, we participate in shared branching with Credit Union Service Centers, a cooperative effort between credit unions nationwide to assist each other’s members. As a result, you can conduct business on your Meriwest accounts at other credit unions throughout the country as though you were at your local Meriwest branch!

The hours of shared branch locations will vary by institution. If you are using a CO-OP Express Kiosk or ATM for the first time, you must register with us before use. To register, please call 877-MERIWEST (637-4937). Access may take up to 2 business days following registration.

If you write a check and do not have enough money in your account by the time the check clears, the check will be returned to the payee (i.e. “bounce”). We will access a Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) fee in these instances.

Preventing Excessive Overdraft Charges

With Courtesy Pay, Meriwest is covering your purchases when you have insufficient funds in your account. This service is designed for when you might make an honest mistake in your check register, have unplanned expenses, or run short on cash unexpectedly.

The best way to access your account number is through Online or Mobile Banking. Simply log in to Online Banking and click the account of your choice. The full account number will be visible.

    Note: For security reasons, Deluxe has restricted this service to orders that do not have any name or address changes. Also, you must provide the next starting check number, which can be found on your check reorder form. If you have a name or address changes or you do not know the starting check number for your reorder, please mail or bring your check order into any Meriwest Financial Center and we will process it for you.
